Brought my 2007 Honda Civic in knowing I had a high pressure AC hose leak. I wanted them to check the AC System for that reason and see if there were any other issues. They did an overall check of the car (which I was not happy about) but in all honesty was pretty extensive, however, doing facility and automotive maintenance for the last 50 years I am not your "average" customer. They confirmed the high-pressure hose leak and a couple of other minor leaks on the AC system, which is good. However, they also told me all my lights didn't work (except the headlights) which I knew was BS because I just replaced all the lamps and obviously checked the function. They also said my wipers were streaking and I just replace those also, and that the cabin air filter needed to be changed, which was really not bad at all, and that my brake fluid should be changed because it had 4% moisture...... Interestingly, I just bled the whole system about a year ago. So it seems they do this extensive check to find out what's "wrong" or should be maintained or replaced as good customer service. It appears to me that they "fix" minor discrepancies (No charge.. As part of the service check) they say they find to make it look like they're giving you something so you'll allow them to fix the major issues you have or they find. Also, although Lugnuts should always be retorqued, when I got the car home, the lug nuts ( All 10 on the front tires) had at least a turn- turn and a half to re-torque that is not acceptable... Not to mention a possible safety hazard. And my splash guard underneath that was secured with zip ties they said had to be replaced, became mysteriously dislodged. Unfortunately I didn't know until I got home because it was towed. And as a final insult, they wanted to charge me $650 plus tax to fix my AC unit...... The parts cost me $35 (which, if you don't know auto shops pay half or a third of that for parts) and two hours of my time. I personally would not recommend them. Unfortunately most people haven't got a clue, and are dependent on "friendly" and "honest", repair shops....
